Deciding between DOL-001 with Digital Out vs internal HDMI mod?

📺 Choose DOL-001 with Digital Out if you plan to play on a retro CRT with Component output, want to pair with a HDMI dongle (EON, Retro Prism, etc) for 480p output, or want to pair with upscaler (RetroTINK, OSSC, etc). Maximum resolution: 480p.

🖥️ Choose internal HDMI mod if you want to plug straight into your HDTV without the need for an external upscaler, and enjoy built-in features like scanline options. Maximum resolution: 1440p (with Shiny upgrade).

We generally select DOL-101 models for the HDMI upgrade since they otherwise lack Digital Out ports, HDMI is the perfect glow up for this variation.
Deciding between PicoBoot, PicoLoader, GC Loader PNP, and FlippyDrive?

📀 Choose PicoBoot or PicoLoader if lower cost, open source, and ability to play original GameCube discs is important to you.

🚫 Choose GC Loader PNP if you do not plan you use original discs and you want the best performance currently available — no lag/stuttering as seen with some games (such as Mario Party). We always use authentic parts from Black Dog.
